Apple releases iOS 9.2 beta version of the iOS 9.2 update

Apple has officially seeded the first beta version of the iOS 9.2 update to developers along with a new beta version of the Xcode software used to build apps for Apple’s mobile platform. From the looks of it iOS 9.2 doesn’t have huge new features waiting inside, but there are a couple interesting tweaks that should help out users.Apple releases iOS 9.2 beta version of the iOS 9.2 update

The best additions are both related to the Safari browser in iOS> First, there are new “Action Extensions” that will be supported in Safari to allow third-party applications to hook into the browser. This means that you’ll finally be able to have apps like 1Password auto-fill passwords in your browser, which is extremely useful. Also, long pressing the Reload button in Safari will give you the option to reload the page normally or without any content blockers you may have installed.
There’s no word on when iOS 9.2 might make it out to user devices, but given that iOS 9.1 and all of its new emoji was just released last week, we wouldn’t expect 9.2 to be finalized all that soon.
