BlackBerry’s online store is offering a Valentine’s Day special on the BlackBerry DTEK50 and BlackBerry DTEK60. These are two handsets produced by TCL that were both re-branded to add the BlackBerry name, the BlackBerry version of Android with Hub and other special features, and a convenience key. Can you think of a better way to express your feelings than by giving your significant other one of these handsets?

In the U.S., the DTEK50 is getting a 13.3% or $40 discount to $259. The DTEK60 is receiving a 10% or $50 haircut to $449. Here are the prices in other countries:

  • ShopBlackBerry Canada – DTEK50 now available for $344 regular $429. DTEK60 now available for $597 regular $650.
  • ShopBlackBerry UK – DTEK50 now available for £255 regular £275. DTEK60 now available for £442 regular £475.
  • ShopBlackBerry France – DTEK50 now available for €296 regular €339. DTEK60 now available for €513 regular €579.
  • ShopBlackBerry Germany – DTEK50 now available for €296 regular €339. DTEK60 now available for €513 regular €579.
  • ShopBlackBerry Europe – DTEK50 now available for €296 regular €339. DTEK60 now available for €513 regular €579.

The DTEK50, which is a revised Alcatel Idol 4, features a 5.2-inch LCD screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Snapdragon 617 SoC  is under the hood carrying an octa-core 1.7GHz CPU, and the Adreno 405 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside along with 16GB of internal storage (10GB available to the user). A 2TB capacity microSD slot is available for those seeking additional storage. On back is a 13MP camera, and an 8MP wide-angle selfie snapper is in front. Keeping the lights on is a 2610mAh battery, and Android 6.0 is on board.

The DTEK60, based on the TCL 950, is equipped with a 5.5-inch display carrying a 1440 x 2560 resolution. The Snapdragon 820 chipset powers the handset, which means it contains a quad-core 2.15GHz CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside along with 32GB of native storage. Those seeking additional storage can access the 2TB capacity microSD slot. And yes Virginia, this model does feature a fingerprint scanner. On back is a 21MP camera rockin’ an aperture of f/2.0. In front, the device features a wide angle 8MP shooter for selfies and video chats. A 3000mAh battery keeps the hamster wheel spinning, and Android 6.0 is pre-installed.

If you don’t mind not getting a price cut, BlackBerry’s online store is also offering the Android powered BlackBerry Priv ($499), the BlackBerry 10 driven BlackBerry Passport in black ($349), the BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition ($399 but currently out of stock) and the BlackBerry Leap in Shadow Gray or White ($199).
